The world is hurried, worried, and full of anxieties. Jesus told us "Do not be anxious about your life," (Matthew 6:25) and "Let not your heart be troubled." (John 14:1) But for most of us, that just sounds like wishful thinking from a bygone era. Is it possible to live in a place of abiding peace in our fast-paced, stress-filled world? This summer at Camilla Community Church we are on a journey to step into the kind of restful, anxiety free living that Jesus promised us in His kingdom. We believe it is possible to resist the narrative of fear, anxiety, and division that surrounds us and walk in more of the peace of Christ in our hearts, homes, schools and even in our community at large through engaging in the grace-centered practices that Jesus taught us. If, like us, that's something you desire, join us on the Campaign for Peace.

This will be a "sermon series," but it will also be more than a sermon series. It will be an invitation for you to personally engage in practices such as prayer, silence, solitude, and Scripture reading that we believe will actually make a difference in the amount of peace in your life. If you participate in these practices, you will be asked at the beginning of the journey to guage the peace in your heart. After a few weeks of intentional disciplines, you'll be asked again. Our prayer is that, by God's grace, there will be a noticeable difference in the amount of peace you are walking in. Stay tuned for more information on the Campaign for Peace!
